    Did you know there is very little crossover between Macrobiotic and Raw? They get shelved together for being fringe, but Macrobiotics is very much in favor of transmuting food through heat, pressure, time and salt--in moderation--according to the factors present.

    For instance, eggplant is useless until you blacken it in the oven.
